and the slow Sunday morning coffees in bed.
and the ridiculous traditions only you and your partner understand
the road trips and vacations.
the furry friend who is your child before real children.
the season of life where everything is changing
the ordinary Tuesday routine you will wish you could step back into.
that is what I photograph. because your story isn't a single event.
I'm the person who will probably show up with too much energy, make a weird noise to get you to laugh, give you fake-accent instructions, and somehow convince the person who swore they hated photos that they're actually having a really good time.
But I'm also paying attention. I'm watching.
I'm noticing the details and small moments happening around you that you might miss because you're busy living them.
The way the light dances around your feet or in your hair.
The way you and your partner’s kitchen feels when you are making your first cup of coffee in the morning.
How your partner keeps stealing quick glances at you when you aren't looking.
I want to be the photographer you can completely relax around.
The person who can hype you up when you need it...
and quietly step back when the moment doesn't need me.
Because if you leave your session remembering one thing about me, I hope it's:
“She felt like a friend.”
