Jacksonville photographer, professional third wheel, unofficial (or official if you book me) hype woman, and occasional fake-accent enthusiast.
I believe the photos you take today will become the memories you treasure tomorrow.
let me tell you a little bit about me.
But more than that, I am someone who really really believes life is worth capturing.
Not just the big things, like weddings and proposals, but the small stuff too. The weird, ordinary, beautifully imperfect pieces of your life that you won’t realize you will miss until they are gone.
The apartment you thought you would live in forever,
The cat (or dog I guess) who was your first baby,
The Sunday morning rituals you didn’t feel were all that important.
That's the stuff I want to photograph. Because your love story keeps evolving.
It doesn’t just begin when you get in engaged and definitely doesn’t end with saying “I do”
And I want to be there for all of it.
While yes, I did pick up my first camera in elementary school and started documenting WAY too much of my life when I was little, my philosophy really solidified as I became an adult.
I know too well what it is like to desperately want photographs of something that can never happen again.
At my own wedding, I trusted my photographer fully. I liked her and we had worked together before.
And then after my wedding, I got 60 images back. There were people, moments, and details all missing.
No first dance, no father daughter dance, moments I know happened are now gone.
I remember crying and begging, and only being told “I gave you the best ones.”
When I look back on those days now, I NEVER want another person to feel that way.
It changed the way I photograph anything. But it also changed how I view photographs.
They aren’t just pretty photos. They are moments you get to hold onto when the moment or the person is gone forever.
This photography philosophy didn't solely come from picking up a camera as a little kid.
So now, I photograph differently.
I don’t want to only give you photographs to post on instagram.
I want your photos to make you stop in 20 years and go back to the memory and be able to feel it.
The photos of your partner laughing so hard they snorted,
The blurry one of you running after your kids,
Your grandmother fixing your dress,
Your dad wiping away your tears,
The tiny details you thought no one noticed.
Those are the photographs I want to make.

Not in the digital sense, but printed, framed, passed down, found in an album in 20 years.
What a privilege it will be for your kids and grandkids to gather around the coffee table and look through all the photos you stashed in a box when you hung up new ones year after year.

Good. You don't have to be. I will help you. All you have to do is show up and I promise you are more photogenic than you think.
And YES!
I am NOT the photographer who makes you stand still and smile for an hour.
Honestly that sounds like my own personal nightmare too.
Instead I am going to:
- Give you weird prompts to make you forget the camera is even there
- Tell to run, dance, spin, or do something ridiculous
- Use a fake accent at least one time (that is how you know I am also having fun)
- Hype you up like you are the hottest person I have ever seen (you probably are, I am not gonna even lie)
- Tell your camera shy partner exactly what they need to do
- Let you be yourself instead of forcing you into what others think is “perfect”
- Know when to step in and help a moment unfold and know when to step back and just document what happens naturally.
You ARE going to have FUN!
By the end, if we are not laughing like old friends, I didn't do something right.

Your life doesn't have to be perfect to be worth documenting.
You don’t need a milestone, but you can have one.
You don’t need a reason, but you can have one of those too.
You definitely dont need to wait until you have lost the weight, bought the house, gotten married, had the baby or reached an imaginary version of your life that feels more like the pinterest board you had when you were 15.
You are already living the good old days you will want to look back on 10 years.
